Many changes this week, including a new theme for Subterranean and a relaunch for MTV2. New video titles and messages appearing during the middle of videos can be annoying. There were some random clips shown between videos. The show signed off with about 15 or 20 minutes to go, like the old 120 Minutes on MTV2. Everything about the new MTV2 seems random and unpredictable, which can make the show harder to follow.

Host: Jim Shearer
Guest: The Zutons
Album: Who Killed The Zutons?

The Chemical Brothers - Galvanize
Saul Williams - List Of Demands (Reparations)
Kaiser Chiefs - I Predict A Riot
Elefant - Misfit
Adem - These Are Your Friends
The Concretes - You Can't Hurry Love
The Zutons - Pressure Point
John Butler Trio - Zebra
Hope Of The States - The Red The White The Black The Blue

This was the second episode after MTV2's relaunch, and the crazy video titles in the middle of the screen are certainly not going away. Almost everything else is tolerable, except the dog logo and random other clips between videos can get annoying.

No logos or video titles appeared for the first half of the show, but it was fairly easy to track down the song titles for the playlist.

Handsome Boy Modeling School - The World's Gone Mad
Doves - Black And White Town
The Arcade Fire - Rebellion (Lies)
Shout Out Louds - Very Loud
Placebo - Twenty Years
Futureheads - Decent Days & Nights
Regina Spektor - Us
The Dears - Lost In The Plot

At the end of the show, Jim noted that this episode with The Dead 60s marked Subterranean's 100th episode. Yeah Yeah Yeahs were the first guest, and Ted Leo has been on Subterranean the most with 3 appearances.
 October 9, 2005
Host: Jim Shearer
Guest: Sons and Daughters
Album: The Repulsion Box

Pinback - Fortress
Little Barrie - Free Salute
The Mountain Goats - This Year
Caesars - It's Not The Fall That Hurts

This show aired at 5 AM on Sunday night, or Monday morning to be more accurate. I don't know what the hell MTV2 was thinking, but they should apologize to Sons and Daughters, as well as their fans, for screwing them over like this.
